Considering the hot humid weather and only having a 1 day weekend, we had a good turn out, and 2 newish contestants, I don't know if Michael Price or Steve Vihlen have flown GTA races before, so welcome to the fun.

We had solid overcast until about 1pm, so it took a long time to burn off and heat up.
Top Meteo besides saying we would get to 500,000 MSL also said it would rain and still have 3.9 kts of lift to probably what they meant to say was 5000msl.  Sky sight said strong lift to 5600msl and no rain.  Both were wrong we had weak lift to 4300msl and the winner John said he got to 5000msl which is probably part of why he won. 3 guys didn't even go on course because once you got low it was tough.
